Prayer

Monday, 27 Oct 2014 12:00

My Lord and my God, we firmly believe that you are here, that you see us, that you hear us. We acknowledge your omnipotence, that without you, we are nothing.

We adore you with profound reverence.

We give you thanks for giving us another blessed day. May we make this day count as one giving greater glory to you by crafting legislation that are in keeping with the common good and never in conflict with your divine laws.

We humbly implore you that you spare our nation from epidemics and natural calamities.

May you keep our faith steadfast and our resolve strong, so that we transcend from previous catastrophes, trusting that you have better plans for us than our minds can comprehend.

Teach us with your divine wisdom, so that we deliberate laws based on reason and facts and not on the dictates of our feelings....

Integrity In Audit

Thursday, 9 Oct 2014 12:00

MAAYONG GABII!

I thank the Association of Government Internal Auditors Inc. (AGIA) for inviting me to speak tonight. I consider it an honor to be addressing the men and women who collectively ensure that all our national government agencies, GOCCs, SUCs and local government units ALL correctly, efficiently and effectively spend our limited state resources.

I have to admit that when I first saw your letter kinabahan ako. Was I being audited?! I think that is the usual reaction of any government official upon seeing your letterhead. But when I read that it was an invitation to speak tonight, I immediately said yes! Mabuti na yan to be on your good side at maging kaibigan ko kayong lahat! Alam nyo naman talagang sumisikat na ngayon mga hanay ninyo sa gobyerno. Mabuti na yang maging kakampi ang mga sikat!...
